The Ferrari Testarossa or the Lamborghini Countach: which is better? Both icons of the 1980s, we compare these two beasts with the help of Youtuber 888MF to see who is the best.

The Ferrari Testarossa

For a long time, the Ferrari Testarossa was in production. During this time, however, it became known as THE supercar of the 1980s. The Testarossa’s body commands attention, with the car’s signature “strakes” running down both sides and doors.

The car was so popular that it was used for years as the lead character’s vehicle in the TV show Miami Vice. The car appeared in the popular video game OutRun.

The Testarossa is powered by a 4.9-liter V12 engine that produces just under 400 horsepower. Although we are accustomed to seeing Ferraris produce as much as 986 horsepower with the SF90 Stradale in today’s supercar market, this was an impressive feat back in the 1980s.

The Lamborghini Countach

The Lamborghini Countach is simply Iconic. The Countach was a car that rose to fame by being plastered on the walls of adolescent boys. Everyone was vying for one and almost every petrolhead will tell you that this was their dream car at one point or another.

The Countach’s harsh lines were one of the car’s boldest design choices, but it paid off handsomely, as bold was the goal. The V12 engine is extremely loud and capable of propelling the car to a top speed of 183 mph, quite fast for the time.
